Back with another short blog about the Apollo X Tour featuring The Devil Wears Prada, Upon A Burning Body, The Word Alive, and The Color Morale. Keep reading for more photos and what’s going through my mind while I’m behind the camera.
Alright, I’m currently in a very inspirational mood that Drake always happens to put me in, so expect a lot of writing.
First to take the stage was The Color Morale, which is a band who I’ve heard a lot about performance wise, and for an opener they sure brought the energy to the dull Alamo City Music Hall. Something about the venues in San Antonio that just isn’t right, it might just be their horrible lighting available for all of the opening/supporting bands. It was my first time photographing The Color Morale so I had no idea what to expect besides what I had heard. Here are some of the photos:
Next up on the schedule was The Word Alive, this was my third time shooting them (i think). It’s always lots of fun photographing them due to Telle moving around a lot and his endless interaction with the crowd, especially when there’s no barricade. Check them out:
Upon A Burning Body:
The final band to hit the stage was The Devil Wears Prada. I don’t know what it is, but when I’m genuinely interested in the music that is playing, I always get the best shots. I’ve been listening to The Devil Wears Prada for about 6 years now, and I still remember the moment one of my friends gave put an earbud in my ear and I listened to ‘Texas Is South’ for the first time. I saw them back in March and they played the Zombie EP back to back and man, was that the best show I had ever been to. I’ll stop talking so much, check out the photos below.
