2016 has been off to a really fast start. Things are moving quickly than they should be and time just doesn't seem to be slowing down. With all the hectic things I've encountered so far this year, I still find time to make it to a show and snap away. I find shows to be my downtime and I actually get to relax for once without being bothered. The first show of 2016 was the World Tour put on by Alternative Press featuring State Champs, Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, and Like Pacific. Scroll down below to read my thoughts about some images.
This was my first time shooting Knuckle Puck (hopefully not last), they had been on my radar for about the past year and I know they played a show in Austin back in November but I didn't get the chance to make it out. I used my new Sigma 35mm f/1.4 for this set and honestly it's the best purchase I've ever made. The lens literally never comes off of my camera. Great go-to lens.
State Champs took the stage next. This was my second time having them in front of my camera, the first didn't go as well due to the fact that were a supporting act so there lighting wasn't as great compared to if they would be the headlining act. But yet, lighting at Alamo City Music Hall is always bad no matter what unless they have the show outside the venue.
Neck Deep finally took the stage, third time shooting them in a venue setting.
